about vape batteries
Although often overlooked, vape batteries are one of the most important components of any vape as they heat your e-liquid allowing it to be turned into vapour. Our range of high performance vape batteries includes brands like Ego, Aspire, and Vuse.
which vape battery should i choose?
The correct battery you should have differs from vape kit to vape kit, based on type, dimensions, and amperage. With simple pod kits you don`t need to worry as typically feature a built-in battery but for external batteries used in box mods and sub ohm kits we recommend:
- 18650 battery: This is the battery size most commonly used in box mods and sub ohm kits. A 18650 battery measures 18mm by 65mm and has a capacity between 2500mAh- 3000mAh.
- 21700 battery: This battery is great for high wattage sub ohm kits. It is 21mm by 70mm and can has a battery capacity of up to 5000mAh
- 20700 battery: This battery is used less commonly but may be required by some higher output vape mods. A 20700 battery is 20mm by 70mm and a battery capacity between 3000mAh to 4200mAh.
Our batteries
Just a few of our most commonly used batteries include:
- Aspire INR 18650: A 2600mAh Battery built for high discharge current devices up to 40W.
- eGo 1100mAh Battery: This 1100mAh battery works best with atomisers and clearatomisers from a range of brands including eGo and Aspire.
- Avatar 21700 Battery: A high drain 4000mAh battery. This battery has a 30W limit.
Yes, you can recycle vape batteries. You can use WEEE takeback schemes offered by major vape retailers or visit a home recycling centre. In addition some supermarkets offer to recycle vape batteries free of charge.
Yes, as long as you are under the airlines battery amount limit and they are stored appropriately. For more on this check out our blog; Can You Take Vapes On A Plane?
This greatly differs from battery to battery. For example, the battery in a Lost Mary vape usually takes about 30 minutes to reach full charge, whereas the Avatar 21700 battery can take up to 4 hours. Generally batteries in simple pod kits reach full charge faster but also will need to be charged again far quicker than a high powered external battery will need to be charged.
No, you cannot inhale battery acid when vaping as vapes use dry lithium-ion batteries instead of batteries using liquid acid.
Yes, vapes use lithium-ion batteries, meaning you should take extra care when charging them due to fire risk.
