The Dudley branch of ECigWizard opened in Mid-November 2014 in a spacious shop that is located by the town centre’s Main Street entrance to the Trident Shopping Centre. The size of the shop allows plenty of space for counters, display cabinets, a sofa, three cube stools, a coffee table and a wall mounted TV while still having an open and uncluttered feel.

Easy Access, Great Location

The Trident Shopping Centre is also home to other major stores such as B&M and Store Twenty One and houses a reasonably priced basement car park. The street entrance to the car park is located on Wolverhampton Street at DY1 1ED, the pedestrian exit leads directly to the Trident Shopping Centre. Wheelchair users can use the sloped car park exit to get to the shops and ECigWizard Dudley has double doors and a step free entrance to give easy access to everyone.

Opposite ECigWizard’s Dudley shop in the Trident Shopping Centre is The Coffee Bean coffee shop, customers are welcome to get a drink from there and bring it into ECigWizard to enjoy while relaxing on the sofa and trying out any of the over sixty e-liquid flavours from the Flavour Station. WizMix, Vermillion River, Mrs B’s and Redwood Blend e-liquids are available.

Dudley’s Trident Shopping Centre is opposite the Full Moon pub, a short walk up Main Street leads to the Grade II listed St Thomas Church as well as Argos and Asda – or walk down the High Street to the Dudley’s famous open-air market which dates back to the 12th century and other shops like Wilkinson’s etc. Beyond this is Dudley Zoological Gardens which also incorporates Dudley Castle that dominates the town’s skyline.

Stock & Staff at ECigWizard Dudley

In addition to the over 60 e-liquid flavours that are stocked at ECigWizard in Dudley there is also a comprehensive range of ECigWizard ecig hardware. In their displays you will see everything from plastic eGo holders and colourful Lanyards through to the VV/VW Vamo V5 Mod and a range of atomiser tanks. Pretty much all of the ecigarette equipment that is available in the online store is in ECigWizard’s Dudley shop too.

All the people who serve in the branch are enthusiastic vapers. Alex works some days at Dudley and other days at ECigWizard’s Birmingham shop in Bearwood, before joining ECigWizard he worked in another vape shop – so he has lots of experience. Carol has many years’ experience of giving great customer service having worked in everything from a pet shop to a furniture store. I too can often be found behind the counter at ECigWizard Dudley, enjoying a vape related chat and an e-cig – come in and say ‘Hi’.

Dudley Town

The metropolitan borough of Dudley has a population of over 300,000, it is a large West Midlands town in an area known as the Black Country. The nearby Black Country Museum celebrates the area’s industrial heritage from which the Black Country got its name.

Dudley history dates back to Anglo-Saxon times, in the Domesday Book it was listed as being a medium-sized manor. Dudley’s Castle was built in 1070 and withstood a siege in 1138. Later in its history during the English Civil War Dudley served as a Royalist stronghold, the castle was again besieged and later partly demolished.

According to the excellent Wikipedia article about Dudley “Dudley was the terminus point of two tram routes which opened in the later part of the 19th century. The first route, linking the town with Tipton and Wednesbury, opened on 21 January 1884 operating steam trams, the route being electrified in 1907 before being closed in March 1930 and replaced by Midland Red buses along the route. The second route opened a year later, linking the town with Birmingham and heading through the centre of nearby Tividale village on the Dudley-Tipton border. This line was electrified in 1904 and remained open until 30 September 1939, when it too was replaced by Midland Red buses. A proposed extension of the Midland Metro line, which would run from Wednesbury to Brierley Hill via Dudley, would re-instate a tram service through the town centre, and is awaiting approval.
